When one of our Certified Mold Inspectors arrives at your home he will take a brief moment to introduce himself and gather some background information about your situation. Please take this time to inform the inspector of any unusual health effects or symptoms you or your family may be experiencing.
These can include but are not limited to:
- asthma
- flu-like symptoms
- shortness of breath
- arthritic like aches
- chronic headaches
- chronic fatigue
- irritation of eyes, nose, throat
- sinus congestion
- never ending cough

Inform the inspector of any moisture problems that your aware of; these can include windows, doors, roof, bathroom and plumbing leaks. Improperly waterproofed basements are another common issue due to the improper methods and materials widely used by builders.(Tar & Mortar are NOT waterproof, drain tiles DO clog)
The inspector will begin in the area of your greatest concern. They will determine if the area is safe or if respiratory protection is required. The inspector will document the relative humidity, temperature, and visible mold growth, and take photographs of the effected areas. An electronic moisture meter will read the saturation level of the building materials it is testing(concrete block, framing, drywall, carpeting, etc). A vigorous visual inspection will determine the source of water intrusion.
The inspector will determine if air sample or direct testing is necessary and will establish a scope of work. He will answer any questions and explain
